JOB DESCRIPTION
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct in vitro functional and phenotypic analysis of macrophages and immune cells in the context of cancer using primary cells and cell lines.
- Investigate biomarker expression in human samples employing techniques such as immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, or RT-PCR-Sequencing.
- Analyse complex datasets using bioinformatic tools.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the research field through literature
review. - Analyze and interpret experimental data, contributing to manuscript preparation.
- Actively participate in laboratory meetings, IGTP seminars, and national or
international conferences.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCIE
Required:
- At the time of recruitment, candidates must hold a Masters degree in biological or biomedical science.
- Experience abroad.
- Applicants must demonstrate an advanced level of English language (spoken and written).
- Previous experience with data analysis and R programming, cell culture, real-time PCR, microscopy, and image analysis.
- Background knowledge in immunology, cancer and/or cancer immunology
- Hands-on research experience in national/international laboratories
- Proven ability to communicate complex scientific information clearly and concisely, and to work collaboratively within a research team.
- Strong ability to manage responsibilities and meet deadlines.
- Organizational, proactive and self-motivated attitude.

El Instituto de Investigación Germans Trias i Pujol (IGTP) es un centro de investigación público situado en Badalona (Barcelonés) que tiene como objetivo principal incrementar el conocimiento científico para transformarlo en soluciones para mejorar la salud y atención médica de los pacientes y de la comunidad.
El Instituto está asociado a uno de los grandes hospitales universitarios del área de Barcelona, el Hospital Germans Trias y Pujol, y forma parte del campus biomédico de Can Ruti.
