JOB DESCRIPTION
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identifying, supporting, and managing innovation and R&D&I projects within the institute, from early-stage ideas to implementation and/or transfer.
- Coordinating multidisciplinary teams, including researchers, clinicians, and external partners, ensuring effective communication and project execution.
- Supporting the preparation, submission, and follow-up of national and international funding proposals.
- Contributing to the valorization of research results, including the assessment of technologies, identification of potential applications, and support for their transfer to industry or clinical practice.
- Monitoring project progress, timelines, budgets, and deliverables, ensuring compliance with funding and institutional requirements.
- Facilitating collaborations with industry and other external stakeholders, contributing to the development of strategic partnerships.
- Supporting the promotion of innovation culture within the institute through participation in internal initiatives, programs, and events.
- Preparing reports, presentations, and other documentation related to project activities and outcomes.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCIE
- University degree in Life Sciences (e.g. Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry) or other relevant disciplines.
- Candidates with alternative academic backgrounds will also be considered if supported by relevant experience or demonstrated knowledge in the required areas.
- Experience in one or more of the following areas will be considered an asset: technology transfer, innovation management, business development, technology commercialization and/or contract negotiation.
- Excellent command of Catalan, Spanish and English, both written and spoken.
- Proficiency in standard office software and document management tools.
- Strong communication and organizational skills, with a proactive attitude, flexibility, autonomy, and a high sense of responsibility.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in multidisciplinary environments.

- A total annual working time of 1,628 hours (pro-rated to the start date), with a 39-hour workweek from September to June and a reduced 35-hour workweek during July and August, promoting a healthy work-life balance.

El Instituto de Investigación Germans Trias i Pujol (IGTP) es un centro de investigación público situado en Badalona (Barcelonés) que tiene como objetivo principal incrementar el conocimiento científico para transformarlo en soluciones para mejorar la salud y atención médica de los pacientes y de la comunidad.
El Instituto está asociado a uno de los grandes hospitales universitarios del área de Barcelona, el Hospital Germans Trias y Pujol, y forma parte del campus biomédico de Can Ruti. Es un centro CERCA y también está acreditado como centro de excelencia por el Instituto de Salud Carlos III (ISCIII), siendo el encargado de coordinar la gestión de la investigación y la estrategia científica del campus, trabajando en estrecha colaboración con los otros centros que se ubican en el mismo.
El Instituto de Investigación Germans Trias i Pujol lleva a cabo la investigación en 9 áreas:
- Cáncer
- Ciencias de la conducta y abuso de sustancias
- Enfermedades cardiovasculares y respiratorias
- Enfermedades del hígado y del aparato digestivo
- Enfermedades endocrinas y del metabolismo, de los huesos y de los riñones
- Enfermedades infecciosas
- Inmunología e inflamación
- Neurociencias
- Salud comunitaria
Los científicos que trabajan en estas áreas publican una media de más de 900 artículos por año, contribuyen con mejores protocolos de salud y con nuevos tratamientos, producen patentes y crean emprendedoras spin off para mejorar la vida de los pacientes.
